Our story
I’m going to tell you how it all started,
One day I was waiting for my sister and 3 years old nephew to go watch a movie but it took them so long to a point it got on my nerves;
when they finally came down, I was like “hello sister! It’s not like you’re getting married again! It’s just a cinema!” She said to me in a calm tone “just wait and see” so I did for a few seconds then I see Alma, her daughter wearing a skirt with a jeans underneath I asked her “Alma?? Sho labsi??!(what are you wearing?) she looks at me with her hands on her hips “helou??!!” (Do you like it?) “Dianne wears like this as well!” Long story short,
apparently, she watches some vlog on YouTube so she copycats it.
Honestly? I wish I had documented her reaction it was as funny as it was eye opening...
On our way my sister and I started recalling how when we were at Alma’s age, we didn’t really have a say in what we wore, our mothers dressed up as they wished! Now-a-days not only teenagers but even children have their very own style; and they don’t compromise thanks to social media which is literally brainwashing the new generations and teaching them over consuming...
